The short answer
Cure for the time on the label of each gel, in thin coats. The Corded LED and Signature Cordless lamps have 15, 30, 60 and 90 second timers to match.
How long should I cure gel?
Follow the cure time on the label of each product, because it can differ by product and by how thick the coat is. Thin coats are the standard advice. The Corded LED Nail Lamp and the Signature Cordless LED Lamp both have 15, 30, 60 and 90 second timers.
Does an LED lamp cure all gels?
Many Cre8tion gel pages say the gel cures under UV or LED. Lamps differ, so check the lamp page too. The Professional Cordless LED Lamp 36W is listed as curing all UV and LED gels, and the Cordless Touch LED Lamp 9W is listed for LED-cure gels.
What does the Corded LED Nail Lamp offer?
Four preset timers (15, 30, 60 and 90 seconds), 365 to 400nm LED coverage and 24W maximum power, in a compact corded body.
What is low heat mode?
The Signature Cordless LED Lamp has a 90 second low heat mode. If a client feels warmth while a thicker layer cures, a low heat mode or a low heat gel is worth reaching for. See HEMA-free and TPO-free gels.
Do I need a lamp for dip or acrylic?
No. Dip powder sets with an activator and acrylic sets on its own. A gel top coat over acrylic still cures under a lamp. See which nail system fits you.
What if the nail feels sticky after curing?
A no wipe top coat cures tack-free. If a gel leaves a sticky layer, wipe it off with a lint free wipe.
Which Cre8tion lamp should I choose?
For a station, the Corded LED Nail Lamp. For cordless work, the Cordless Touch LED Lamp 9W, the Rechargeable LED Lamp 12W or the Signature Cordless LED Lamp. For single-finger cures and travel, the Mini UV/LED Lamp.
Always follow the cure time on the product label. Lamp details come from each product page. Prices on Cre8tion product pages are MSRP.
