A soft gel tip cuts the service time and holds the shape. It needs a gel adhesive and a lamp, not resin.

They are not interchangeable. The tip decides the adhesive, the prep and the removal.

Pick the material
Soft gel is flexible, full cover and cures under a lamp. Plastic is rigid and takes resin.

Fit before you glue
Size to the widest point of the plate. A tip that pinches will lift at the sidewall.

Match the adhesive
Gel adhesive and a lamp for soft gel. Resin for plastic. Swapping them is the usual failure.

Or skip the tip
A dual form builds the same shape without a tip at all.

Then build over it
Builder gel for strength, color on top, top coat to seal.
