Mirror finishes, six ways.

Chrome is a metallic powder that turns a cured top coat into polished metal. These Cre8tion sets cover mirror, color-shift and magnetic chrome.

Six chrome families, from classic mirror to color-shifting flakes.

The chrome method

Six layers, in this order. The powder step needs no lamp.

  1. Base coatApply and cure a quality base coat.
  2. ColorApply and cure the gel color you want under the chrome. A dark color such as black gives the deepest mirror.
  3. Top coatApply a smooth non-cleansing top coat, such as Diamond No Wipe, and cure it. This is the surface the powder rides on.
  4. Pat on the pigment No lampPick up a very small amount of powder on a sponge or silicone applicator. Pat it onto the cured top coat. One or two passes is usually enough.
  5. Seal itAdd a layer of Chrome Top over the powder and cure.
  6. Finish with shineApply a super glossy no wipe top coat and cure.
